Background:

Personality:
When Xion is first introduced, she barely says a word. She is only visible with her hood up and could even be considered somewhat "creepy" by the way she acts. However, it is revealed that this is because she is a replica who has not developed any sense of identity; very soon after she is able to be seen with a lowered hood and an appearance, and starts speaking more or less like a normal girl, albeit a somewhat naive one without much experience with the world. However, she continues to be somewhat shy in some cases later on, likely due to her situation. In fact she could be considered a bit withdrawn- she's only shown to open up to her close friends and then later Namine a bit, when she is shown trying to decide what to do. With her friends she is shown to be excitable, sweet, and funny.
The main thing about Xion is that she cares very deeply for her friends. She's extremely grateful for them including her and being there for her, and even in the beginning of the game she tries her best to show this gratitude in any way she can, including leaving seashells by Roxas' bedside when he is asleep. As time goes on her devotion is tested when she learns that her existence will cause Roxas to disappear, and this along with learning about Sora makes her decide to allow herself to be destroyed, despite what that means. Xion will do absolutely anything for those she cares about and will do her utmost to try and protect them, but also seems to show a respect for their choices. When she decides to allow herself to return to Sora, she admits to believing that Roxas also needs to do the same thing, but that he wouldn't understand yet and therefore she does not try to force him to do so (although she does ask Namine to look after him for her.) Then, soon after when Axel comes to return her to the Organization she tells him not to hold back. Of course, this only goes so far; she does end up tricking Roxas into destroying her to save him and Sora, but even then when he is sad for her leaving she makes sure to tell him that this was her choice.
Despite believing that she is a Nobody without a heart or any feelings of her own, and despite being a replica, Xion is shown to act as though she feels emotions very strongly. She's seen laughing and enjoying being with her friends, but also feeling extremely down on herself when she messes up. When she loses the ability to use her keyblade, she worries that she will be useless and unable to help at all, and when she discovers her true nature she spends a lot of time trying to decide what it means for her, and even seems as though she wants someone to tell her what to do at some moments. She feels lost and unsure of herself and her place in the world, or if she even has a place in the world, and she struggles with her identity as merely a "copy." She's also shown to be fairly sensitive and quick to anger, such as when she blows up at Riku for his insinuation that her keyblade was fake, showing somewhat of a lack of control over these emotions.
Finally, even though she lacks a lot of experience, having only technically been "alive" for so long, she shows an inner sense of right and wrong. When she learns that her being born and existing is hurting not only one of her best friends, Roxas, but also Sora, she decides that the best course of action is to return to Sora, despite the fact that that means not only ceasing to exist but also that everyone she's ever met will forget all about her. She's also shown to be extremely determined, especially in this choice; she won't let anything stand in her way to do what she finally believes is right.
Abilities:
Magic: Before she is able to summon her keyblade and during the time she loses it, Xion fights mainly by shooting simple balls of magic from her hands. She also knows actual elemental spells, which will remain the basic level ones here: Fire, Blizzard, Lightning, and Cure.
Keyblade: Xion's main form of fighting is with the keyblade, a mysterious weapon that remains "stuck" with the owner, being able to appear and disappear and return to them at will.
Light Element/Event Horizon: All members of the Organization have an element, and Xion's is light. She is not shown to use it particularly often, however her Limit Break, Event Horizon, entails her keyblade being surrounded by light and pillars of light surrounding her. In game here this would be something she would not be able to do very often, and it would not be strong enough to be considered overpowered.
Alignment: Daimonia
Xion’s overall story and development fits the theme of grief and joy fairly well; throughout 358/2 days she is shown to be extremely happy being with her friends and just being herself, however she is also shown to have to deal with a lot of loss throughout the game. Namely, the loss of her keyblade towards the beginning, the loss of any sense of identity as she discovers her origins, and then the loss of her friends and their memories of her as she allows herself to be destroyed and returned to where she belongs.
Other: Originally in canon, Xion's appearance would change based on the person viewing her. She could appear as her actual appearance or as a faceless entity with her hood up, or even as Sora of Ven throughout the course of the game. Here I would like to have her simply be viewable as herself for logistics reasons to all those that see her, because otherwise many people would only be able to see her with her hood up when they first meet her.

Emotion Sample:
[ This wasn't what Xion expected when she felt herself fading away.
She'd considered it a bit before going to find Roxas, of course. The most likely answer was that she would simply... not be. No thoughts, no feelings, no awareness- it was a scary thought, but one that she had accepted. Occasionally she'd wonder if she would be left with some awareness; some understanding that she was alive, just part of something (or someone) else, but these were difficult thoughts to deal with.
Regardless, none of them involved her arriving in a whole different world, more or less in one piece and alive.
The shock of that was already enough. She'd have to learn all about this place because it didn't seem like she would simply be able to portal out of there like she had from so many worlds before. She'd tried, a couple of times to no avail, and now finds herself seated on the edge of a fountain, head in hands as she tries to figure out what to make of this whole situation.
No, it seemed like she was stuck here, so she'd better get used to it... But getting used to it involved accepting two very big things.
One, she was 100% capable of feeling emotions, and those emotions could change the world around her.
Two, she was fairly certain that people from home were here, and... well... They probably wouldn't remember her at all.
She knew this when she made her choice. She'd more or less accepted it, but... That was when she'd assumed that she would no longer exist at all. Strangely, that had made it seem... easier, somehow. Maybe that was selfish of her. Now, however, she might have to face seeing them in person, knowing that they had no idea who she was, and she wasn't sure she could handle it.
The few second of Roxas not knowing her before she'd disappeared had been hard enough, after all.
In the present, Xion suddenly starts, realizing that somehow water had started overflowing and slowly pouring out of the fountain behind her. She leaps up in surprise, trying to wipe it off of herself to no avail. ]
Ah, no, no- how do I stop this- [ She waves her hands as if hoping it'll have some effect, but if anything it only makes the water flow faster.
Her next step? Probably to panic.
...Except, that would probably make it even worse, right? She'd just have to figure this out. She takes a few calming breaths, trying to focus on happier thoughts. So, her friends might not know her- what did that really matter? They were alive and probably well, and she would be able to try and see that for herself, even if that would hurt, too... There's suddenly a crackling noise as the water freezes slowly, the entire fountain suddenly surrounded by ice.
Xion lets out a sigh of relief and walks close ones more, looking down at her handiwork.
This would be fine. She could deal with it. She'd figure it out... She just had to focus on the good, right? And really, she was alive. She was herself. She was in a huge place with all sorts of people and experiences to be had... Plus, she could make sure her friends were alright. Make sure they were happy... was it really so bad, being alive? She would do her best with it... for as long as she had it.
At this thought, a small blue flower suddenly sprouts, bursting through the ice under the fountain.
Xion smiles. ]
